Animo Animo belongs to the very small 'elite' group of "Top Show jumping Progenitors".

His sire, Alme Z, is considered one of the all time great stallions of Europe. Without ever having stood at stud in Germany, Alme Z has influenced almost all of the German warmblood breeds. He produced many approved show jumping sons including Galoubet, I Love You and Jalisco. Alme Z was himself a successful international show jumper and transmitted his gift for jumping lavishly to his progeny.

Animo's dam, Irene, is sired by the famous Dutch stallion Amor. Amor was a legend in Holland and a statue of him was built in his honor. He was prepotent in producing big moving dressage horses and become well known for his mares who produced show jumpers.

Animo has received his due recognition by being declared "Keur", and he recently received his "Approval for life" by the KWPN. Animo is the only KWPN stallion, currently standing at stud, was has participated in the Olympic Games (Barcelona 1992). Michael Whitaker once pronounced, that Animo was the best show jumping stallion in Europe.

Animo is sire to LEAD Partner's Billy Autumn.
